The false man bows before power. The true man bows to argument.

Art of Right Thinking

The most important aspect of man is the fact that he is endowed with a mind. It is through his conceptual thinking that he observes and comprehends everything around him and responds to situations. It is natural that it would be through thinking that one consciously begins the development of his personality on positive lines. It is, therefore, imperative that he develops right thinking; as without it, there would be no right planning or the resultant right action.

It is a fact that thinking is the single most aspect of a man’s life. Man, however, has a misconception that he does not have to train himself to think in a right manner, he is simply naturally endowed with the ability to think clearly. At CPS we feel that this is definitely not a fact. Man does not naturally possess the ability to think rightly, clearly and logically. In fact it is unreasonable to suppose that any less skill is required for thinking than for anything else in life. Therefore, the most important training that man needs in his life is in the art of right thinking. He has to learning how to think and practice and train himself based on its principles.

Maulana Wahiduddin Khan has trained the Ambassadors of Peace and Spirituality in the art of right thinking. Under Maulana’s patronage, CPS and its global partners are training individuals in the art of right and clear thinking.  At CPS we believe that the reason why people are not able to think clearly is that they are not able to objectively and positively. In this world, everyone has been given freedom of choice. This gives to the possibility of people misusing their freedom, which result in all sorts of negative situations that lead to emotions such as revenge, hatred, malice, etc. Under the influence of such negative emotions and external entities – what we call ‘conditioning’ – people loose their objectivity and positivity – thus they are not able to think rightly.

We explain to people that right thinking is actually another name for reality based thinking or thinking ‘as it is’. When one is conditioned by external entities or negative influences, he is not able to think rightly. The first principle of right thinking, therefore, is to overcome this by converting the negativity into positivity through the principal of conversion and the intellectual Awakening and Personality development through de-conditioning. When they are able to do this, they are enabled to keep their objectivity and think rightly intact and think, ‘as it is’.

We make people understand that the second principle in training oneself to think clearly and rightly is to ‘see’ the point—to recognize what exactly is the point in question—and then to stick to that point until it has been dealt with. There is a general tendency in people to deviate from the point. This leads to confused thinking and action. One has to train oneself consciously in this matter.

Then the third principle in the art of clear thinking is specific and clear questioning. It is a fact that all real, constructive thinking is aimed at answering some question, solving some problem, making some decision. One should continue to question clearly and specifically till they have been able to arrive at the right answers to their questions.

During the training in spiritual principles, CPS and its global partners are training individuals in the art of right thinking by logical thinking and questioning. They are trained to first ‘see’ the point at issue, recognize exactly what it is they want to know or want to decide; and then trained to set to work to sort out all the relevant facts and arguments to think always with purpose. They are then trained to ask questions and strive to find answers to them in an orderly manner, only passing on to the next when they have found answers to the previous questions.

At CPS we believe that when people are able to develop right thinking in themselves, they will be able to speak and act in a result-oriented manner. This will enable them to develop a positive personality in themselves so that they are successful in all aspects of life. To find out more about the spirituality efforts of CPS contact us.
