Islam and the Modern Age (Urdu Lecture)

People have this misconception that Islamic teachings are against modern age disciplines. This is because, when modern science discovered that natural processes are based on the principle of causation, they wrongfully declared that “if events are due to natural causes, they are not due to super-natural causes”, giving a false basis for the modern philosophy of atheism. But this is a false logic as causation only explains the processes – the question of who created the processes still remains. It is God, who created the natural processes, the study of which is called science. Islam accepts all scientific discoveries and further accepts all positive aspects of modern culture, holding only its negative aspects such as nudity, mixed society, pre-marital relationships as wrong. So I can say that Islam is exactly in keeping with the modern age.
