CPS Television is the proposed 24-hour television channel with a global beam to reach out to millions of viewers worldwide. The channel is envisioned to be the ‘broadcast voice’ of the peace mission globally. Through this project, we propose to share the universal laws of life as inscribed in the Islamic Scriptures and to reveal true face of Islam and in the modern idiom, based on the principles of peace and spirituality.

The Background
Popularly known as Islam’s spiritual ambassador to the world, Maulana Wahiduddin Khan is a well-known media personality in the spiritual world today. In fact when people want to know the ‘true face’ of Islam, Maulana is the person they look up to. He is a regular invitee by many Television Channels such as BBC, Doordarshan, Star Channels, NDTV, Aaj Tak, India TV, Sab TV, Jain TV, Total TV, Zee News, etc. Whenever any issue regarding clarifications about Islam is raised, it is to Maulana that all media gathers, be it the press, the news channels or the infotainment channels.

Maulana, not only clarifies misconceptions, he presents to the world, Islam in the modern framework based on the principles of peace and spirituality. According to Maulana, generation upon generation of individuals in the world today – for decades – have been trained in modern education, but they are receiving religion in the traditional framework. Due to this reason, religion does not address their minds. As a result, more and more people are going away from religion; some have gone to the extent of becoming atheists or agnostics. During the interactions undertaken by Maulana, he realized that when religion is presented to people in the modern idiom, i.e., in the scientific framework, based on reason and it does not contradict the universal physical laws or their own natures, it immediately addresses their minds.

The By-Line of the Broadcast Package
When presented the universal laws of life based on Islamic Scriptures, the response of all people inevitably is,
“If this is Islam, then where is the problem?”

This response is so widely received from one and all that we are considering keeping this the byline for the broadcast package.

The Broadcast Package
We propose to package the broadcasts to reveal the true face of Islam in the modern, scientific framework, with the objective of addressing individuals with rational minds. We will present to them the true face of Islam based on peaceful co-existence and tolerance. Primarily the broadcast package comprises of the pearls of wisdom of Maulana Wahiduddin Khan and the ideology presented by him which shows all how the way to develop right thinking and training in the principles of life. According to Maulana, only when one is able to understand the universal laws of life that they can grasp the wisdom to succeed in this world and the world to come.

Some of the programs of the package are: Discover Life’s Purpose Series, Good Life Series, Raaz-e-Hayat: The Secret of Life, Spiritual Wisdom, Quran: The Word of God, Hadith: The Sayings of the Prophet Muhammad.

Work is going on to plan the package of more programs for the broadcast package such as Q & A Sessions, Interactive Programming, Youth-Oriented programming, Women-Oriented Programming, Educative Programming, Dawah Programming and the General Viewing Programming and Fillers. Together, these will form the bulk of the programming for the 24-Hour Channel and the Broadcast Package.

The package is sure to make the universal laws of life through true religion come alive in one’s life so that people are trained on living God-oriented life.

Production Back-Up
In-house Studio and editing facilities have been set up for recording more than 90 episodes per month henceforth. More than 500-hours of programming for the channel are in place. Presently these have been packaged into the following series: Good Life, Raaz-e-Hayat: The Secret of Life, Spiritual Wisdom and Quran: The Word of God while the remaining programs are being packaged based on the requirements of the various channels.

Existing Broadcasts
The broadcasts of some of these programs have already commenced on various global networks such as ETV Urdu in India; Aj TV, Pakistan; and ARY Digital in Middle East, Europe, UK and USA in Urdu and English.

Extension of Broadcasts to other Channels and a 24-Hour Channel
We propose to extend the broadcasts of these and other specifically packaged programs to other channels worldwide. Discussions are on with broadcasters in the Indian Subcontinent, the Middle East, Far East, Europe, USA and Australia to telecast the programs of the package. We aim to broadcast the programs on a few channels of each region.

In this way, we propose to extend the present broadcasts in the first phase to other global channels; then to include a few hour programming bands on certain established channels and eventually to a 24-hour CPS Global Channel with a global beam and radio stations in local regions.
