ISLAM AND SCIENCE: A CORRECT APPRAISAL

Maulana Wahiduddin Khan | Islam and Science | Al-Risala April 1988

Ancient man was of the view that the events taking place around him were mysterious in origin, and could not be explained in any rational way. But modern man knows that there is a definite cause for whatever happens in the world. This change in thinking is reflected in a typical Indian family’s discussion of space flight, which was reported in The Times of India of April 20, 1984.

GUIDANCE FOR THE MISGUIDED

Maulana Wahiduddin Khan | Islam Today |  Al-Risala February 1988

Describing the plight of humanity on the Day of Judgment, the Quran says:

“On the Day when their faces are turned over in the Fire, they shall say: ‘Oh, would that we had obeyed God, and obeyed the Messenger!’ They shall say, ‘Our Lord, we paid heed to our leaders and our elders, but they led us away from the right path. Our Lord, give them double punishment and curse them with a mighty curse.’” (33:66-68)
