Love Islam, Hate America. These hoardings were placed in tourist spots in reaction to a movie produced in America. Can a Muslim hate a non-believer by giving an excuse?
The claim of Muslims that we love Islam is totally wrong. If you love Islam, you cannot at the same time hate people. It is impossible to love Islam and also to hate people. Love for Islam teaches you to love people. 
Why is this so? The Quran says: وَلَا تَسْتَوِي الْحَسَنَةُ وَلَا السَّيِّئَةُ ادْفَعْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ أَحْسَنُ فَإِذَا الَّذِي بَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهُ عَدَاوَةٌ كَأَنَّهُ وَلِيٌّ حَمِيمٌ (41.34) 

Good and evil deeds are not equal. Do good deed in return for bad deed; then you will see that one who was once your enemy has become your dearest friend, Look at an enemy as a potential friend. This is the teaching of Islam. You have to see your enemy as a potential friend. Islam teaches us to consider an enemy as a potential friend. Those who claim to love Islam actually hate Islam. These people don’t love Islam. If they had loved Islam, they would have followed the Quran. They would have read the Quran. The Quran clearly states that you have to turn your enemy into a potential friend. I was invited to a church when I once visited America. A Christian quoted Jesus in the Bible saying, Love your enemy. He asked if the Quran had any such teaching. I read the above verse of the Quran and he was very happy to know that the Quran contained the same teaching. If you reflect, you will understand that if you are truly a Muslim and believe in the Quran, you will look at your enemies as friends. Otherwise, you are not a Muslims nor do you believe in the Quran.
