Ramazan: Month of Understanding the Quran

Ramazan is also month of the Quran. The Quran was revealed in this month.
What is the meaning of 'month of the Quran'? In what respect is Ramazan a month of the Quran? In Ramazan, we are specially required to read the Quran.
We think and reflect on the verses of the Quran. We try to understand the message of the Quran. When we do this during Ramazan, the Quran will become part of our lives such that it will have its effects through the rest of the year.
For example, consider that you read the Quran during Ramazan. You read this verse: "Do not walk proudly on the earth." (17:37) You read this during Ramazan, but follow it throughout the year. While reading the Quran in Ramazan, you came across the verse which instructs to not walk proudly on earth. Not walking proudly is not only meant for Ramazan. Whenever you walk, your way must not reflect pride. Rather, your gait should be modest and humble. One discovers all this through thinking.  When you walk on earth, you must think that God has given you two legs: "Had I not possessed these two legs, how would I have walked? I would have to then crawl and drag myself on the ground." When you think in this way, you will not have pride. Rather, you will be thankful to God, which will lead to modesty. When you are driving in the car, you must still not develop pride. Why? You will think about the car.
You will realize that God has indeed granted His favour to you such that dead matter is driving you along on the road. If you dismantle the car, it is nothing but dead matter. You will discover that God has given dead matter the potential to drive you along. Then how can you become proud? You will be thankful and humble. When you are travelling in the airplane, you will again think. Before its construction, an airplane was nothing but dead matter. Here also you will realize that God has bestowed His favour upon you such that dead matter is flying with you in the sky. You will realize that you cannot fly on your own. You are not like the bird. But an airplane can take you from one place to another. Dead matter is helping you to fly.

Every moment, you will discover yourself as a servant of God. You will realize that everything is a blessing for you. You will remember the Giver of all the blessings. You will realize that everything has been given by God and has not been created by you. You have not created yourself. You have not created the earth, the atmosphere or matter. You have to see everything as a blessing from God. You must see God as the Giver. Then you will develop modesty and helplessness. You will keep remembering God. We are required to read the Quran during Ramazan. This means that we must think about the verses of the Quran, and follow the spirit of the Quran throughout our lives.
