There are always new challenges in life. New situations are created. New problems arise.  The journey of life is never a smooth one. This is why, it is essential to think and and rethink, and to think in new ways.  This is called creative thinking.

Those who have creative thinking can only achieve great success. Those who think in a routine manner can never achieve great success. I will give few examples. Creative thinking is required both in the secular fields and in religious fields. I will give few examples.

There is a very well known example of the nation of Japan. Japan, before WWI, was a warring nation comprising of warring people. They perpetrated violence in the WWII. But why? Because they were defeated. There were two groups in WWII -- Axis powers and Allied powers. Japan had allied with the Axis powers, whose leader was Germany. This group was defeated.

After their defeat, Japan re-assessed the entire matter. Then they took a sudden U-turn. A warring community became a peaceful community. They abandoned violence and focused their energy on education, industry and business. Within 30 years, Japan made a new history for itself.  It became an economic superpower. This was the miracle of creative thinking.

Had Japan remained stuck with its previous thinking and continued to fight, it would have not found success. I will give another small example. This is an illustration of creative thinking.  This is about Turkey.

Dr Saniyasnain Khan went to Turkey. He contacted few people and came to know that there is very good technology and infrastructure in Turkey. Printing technology is also highly developed there. He got translations of the Quran printed there. There is a flourishing tourism industry too. This is because there are many historical monuments in the country. People visit the place daily from all over Europe. There is a historical mosque whose imam is ready to give away Quran copies to tourists for free. Dr Saniyasnain had only given them this Quran. The rest was done by the imam himself. He kept Quran copies in bags and placed a banner saying: Free Gifts for Tourists. The tourists happily pick up these bags. Earlier, the imam looked at the Quran as the Quran. But now he considers it a gift for tourists. Tourists love such gifts.

This was creativity. What was earlier only a copy of the Quran was now a gift for tourists. They accept it happily and take it away. This is a small example of creativity. It is very essential for you to have the ability to think differently in life. Otherwise, you will remain trapped.
