Ideal Life is Achievable Only in the World Hereafter

A verse in Surah al-Qiyamah says: كَلَّا بَلْ تُحِبُّونَ الْعَاجِلَةَ وَتَذَرُونَ الْآخِرَةَ (75:20-21) You love immediate gain and ignore the Hereafter. You make your goal that which is immediate and forget the gain of the Hereafter. What does this mean? You are making great efforts to build Paradise in this world although you will never get Paradise here. You are doing nothing for the Paradise that awaits you in the next world. This is the story of entire humanity.

To explain we can say, you have made Paradise in this world your goal. This is unachievable. You have forgotten Paradise of the Hereafter.  كَلَّا بَلْ تُحِبُّونَ الْعَاجِلَةَ وَتَذَرُونَ الْآخِرَةَ

This is a verse from Surah al-Qiyamah. Literally, you love that which is immediately available while you forget what is to come in the world Hereafter. What does this mean? You are making great efforts to build Paradise in this world although you will never get Paradise here. You are doing nothing for the Paradise that awaits you in the next world. This is the story of entire humanity.

To realize the contradiction that I am by birth a seeker of Paradise, I am an idealist and a perfectionist, but in this world I will not get Paradise. Paradise will come in the next world. We see a scenario in the whole of human history. What has been the goal of secular reformers and secular thinkers? They wanted ideal government, ideal society and ideal system. From Aristotle to Plato and Mahatma Gandhi, all had the same goal. This had been the goal of all thinkers throughout history. The Paradise that is instilled in their minds makes people want an ideal life, and the reformers and leaders wanted an ideal society. In the whole of history, people's goal had been ideal government, ideal society or ideal system. But no one could achieve his or her goal. All died in frustration and despair.

Why? Such a system cannot be built in this world. People couldn’t understand that although I am an idealist in thought, in this world an ideal system cannot be made. People couldn’t understand this truth.
