A strong believer is dearer to God compared to a weak believer. But there is goodness for both. What is the meaning of khayr or goodness? From a strong believer, there are hopes that he would do great works. He is dear to God because he would perform great works for the religious cause. But at the same time a weak believer is also dear to God. Why? He is deserving of being helped and receiving mercy. A weak person needs mercy, which is why he is dear to God. The life after death is not a dreadful life. It is not about meeting an intimidating God, rather we have to meet a compassionate and merciful God. But there is a condition to this — you must discover God and acknowledge Him. You must have faith in God. You should adopt a God-oriented lifestyle. You must live in submission to God. You must make yourself deserving of God's mercy, help and blessings.
A hadith says: الْمُؤْمِنُ الْقَوِيُّ، خَيْرٌ وَأَحَبُّ إِلَى اللهِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِ الضَّعِيفِ، وَفِي كُلٍّ خَيْرٌ (Sahih Muslim 2664) A strong believer is dearer to God compared to a weak believer.
