Satan gets a chance to deceive you with respect to your wealth. Satan instigates you to think in a wrong way. He tells you to listen to false songs which only waste your time. Satan induces you to do wrongful acts with what God has endowed you. Then he also induces you with respect to your wealth. Those who spend their money under the influence of Satan do wasteful expenditure. The greatest way of this is shopping.
A person possesses certain blessings and also acquires certain things in this world. A person has eyes and ears gives by God. The other greatest possession people acquire in this world is money. Every person has two things: God-given body, which includes ears and eyes that you to utilize. The Quran says: إِنَّ السَّمْعَ وَالْبَصَرَ وَالْفُؤَادَ كُلُّ أُولَئِكَ كَانَ عَنْهُ مَسْئُولًا (17:36) You will be asked about what you did with the eyes, ears and brains given to you. You will be asked about how you used your eyes, ears and brains. To what use did you put everything that God gave you? The other big thing that a person acquires is wealth. The hadith says: لَا تَزُولُ قَدَمَا عَبْدٍ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، حَتَّى يُسْأَلَ عَنْ أَرْبَعٍ (Sunan al-Darimi 556) On the Day of Judgment, everyone will be gathered before God. A person's feet will not move ahead when he stands before God unless he answers how he earned his wealth and where he spent it.

When someone asked the Prophet about a matter, he turned to Gabriel for an answer. The question was what is the worst place in the world. The Prophet replied: I don’t have an answer. I will ask Gabriel and then inform you. When Gabriel came, the Prophet asked him about the worst place in the world. Gabriel replied: I also don’t know. Both the Prophet and Gabriel didn’t know about this. Gabriel said that he would ask God about this. Gabriel rose higher up and crossed the curtain of light to go near God. When he reached close to God, he put the question before Him. God said: أَحَبَّ الْبِقَاعِ إِلَى اللَّهِ الْمَسَاجِدُ، وَأَبْغَضُ الْبِقَاعِ إِلَى اللَّهِ الْأَسْوَاقُ (Musnad al-Bazzar 3430)
