7. Woman, the Treasure of Life

Abdullah bin ‘Amr narrated that the Prophet of Islam (SAW) said: “The world is but a temporary provision, and the best of its provisions is a righteous woman.” (Sahih Muslim, Hadith No. 1467; Sunan al-Nasa’i, Hadith No. 3232)

Both man and woman are treasures and vital supports for one another. Human life in this world depends upon many needs and relationships. Yet the companionship gained through marriage is more precious than all other possessions.

When both spouses truly understand this reality, they develop deep affection and appreciation for one another. They realize that neglecting each other would leave life emotionally incomplete and spiritually impoverished. Each comes to see the other as an irreplaceable blessing—one whose place cannot be filled by anything else.
